Zambezi schools get 30 printers

Zambezi Office National donated 30 printers valued at approximately N$210 000 to both private and state schools in the region on Wednesday.
Regional education director Alex Sikume said educational resources are not always sufficient to purchase the necessary equipment for schools but donations help close the gap.
“This donation has come at the most opportune time, as we are about to write the end-of-term test series. Therefore, these will support, especially the rural schools, in printing the question papers and other small printing [needs] on site,” he said.
He appealed to other local businesses to come on board with similar donations to aid in the education of Namibian children.
Office National supervisor Afi Segla said they value the education of Namibian children and the donation aims to bring knowledge to every child.
“These printers are but a small gesture in trying to assist your schools in bringing about change to the country’s education. The future of the country lies in your hands. We will do our best to support you where we can,” she said.
