Uhuru Dempers on reparations discussions in Zimbabwe

We were joined by Uhuru Dempers, a Namibian activist who’s fought for reparative justice since the 2000s, notably shaping the 2021 deal where Germany pledged €1.1 billion for the Herero-Nama genocide.

Last week, he spoke at Zimbabwe’s Reparations Summit in Harare, hosted by Christian Aid and the Zimbabwe Council of Churches, tackling colonial legacies and climate debts.
