Trevino Forbes sheds light on Walvis Bay Youth Climate Fund’s N$1.8 million cash injection

The Walvis Bay Youth Climate Action Fund has been boosted with N$1.8 million by Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund. The fund provides technical assistance and funding for 100 mayors to engage young people between 15 and 24 years old to design, produce, and govern urgent climate solutions in their cities. The youth organisation received N$1 million in 2024 as a result of Walvis Bay mayor Trevino Forbes’ participation in the Local Climate Action Summit at COP28 in Dubai in December 2023.
The mayor joined Daybreak to shed some more light on this.
