The Windhoek High Court has ruled that Vapeni Lucia Boois, a former police officer accused of murdering her one-year-old son in 2023, is mentally fit to stand trial despite diagnoses of borderline personality disorder and persistent depressive disorder.
The case, marked by allegations of 15 stabbings and evidence tampering, raises questions about justice, mental health, and political oversight.
