The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has suspended an executive editor of the public broadcaster, Anna Nicodemus, following remarks about president-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s health that she made in an interview with South African news channel Newzroom Afrika. Nicodemus confirmed her suspension to The Namibian on Friday. The Affirmative Repositioning (AR) party has condemned the suspension of Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) executive editor senior editor Anna Nicodemus. In the meantime, the Namibia Media Professionals Union (NAMPU) has condemned the suspension as a threat against media freedom. Former director general of the NBC, Dr. Ben Mulongeni, now joined us.
