Reflecting on the footprints left by Geingob

In tribute to the late President Hage Geingob, his wife Monica Geingos, President Nangolo Mbumba, President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, and other government leaders laid wreaths at his mausoleum at Heroes’ Acre today. On Tuesday, the government hosted a commemorative ceremony to mark the first anniversary of Geingob’s passing on February 4, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Family, friends, and dignitaries—including National Assembly Speaker Peter Katjavivi and Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila—gathered to honour his memory. As we reflect on the footprints left by Geingob, we were joined by Pastor Dolly Nengushe from the Christian community to share her thoughts on his enduring legacy.
