The newly appointed Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts, and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, has hit the ground running!
Today, she held her first official meeting with her ministerial team at Eros Primary School, setting the tone for her leadership in Namibia’s largest ministry.
Steenkamp, who previously served as Executive Director, now takes charge of a portfolio that not only carries the biggest national budget—N$24.8 billion for 2025/26—but also oversees critical sectors shaping Namibia’s future.
With a total of N$76.1 billion earmarked over the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, expectations are high.
