MUN Welcomed Kombat Mine’s Decision to Engage in Collective Bargaining.

The Mineworkers Union of Namibia said it welcomed Trigon Metals Kombat Mine’s willingness to engage in a collective bargaining process. MUN General Secretary George Ampweya stated that the union was pleased with the mine’s decision to negotiate in an orderly manner after initially planning to retrench 533 employees without consulting the union. Ampweya joined us in the studio to discuss this further.
