Legal Fallout: Metcalfe, Shipwikineni Clash as Swapo Congress Case Drags On.

A heated exchange of words has occurred between lawyer Richard Metcalfe and his former client, Reinhold Shipwikineni, whom he has accused of refusing to accept cogent legal advice.
Metcalfe has been representing Shipwikineni in a case in which he was challenging Swapo to hold an extraordinary congress in order to determine the party’s top leadership.
He withdrew his legal services a few days ago.
Shipwikineni has also told court that his then lawyer complained to him that he had been threatened by the Deputy Chief Justice of Namibia for being “against Swapo just because he accepted the applicant’s instructions”.
Metcalfe has denied this claim.
But now without a lawyer, the earliest possible date for the holding of an extraordinary congress having since passed and the inauguration of Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah now around the corner, why is this case not being dropped?
