Katutura Residents Demand Answers from ACC on City of Windhoek Corruption Allegations.

As we continue with the Anti-Corruption Commission issue, Shaun Gariseb, acting as a spokesperson of the Katutura residents, claims in the petition handed over to the ACC this morning that concerns of residents about the City of Windhoek are being ignored, investigations have stopped making progress and evidence is being destroyed. Some of these complaints pertain to allegations of botched billing systems, overcharging of resident’s bills and the appointment of external debt collectors. Their petition calls for special investigators to be appointed specifically to local authority matters, as well as for the ACC to confirm whether investigations were initiated regarding previous complaints and updates on where said investigations stand and when they will be completed.
