Justin Muyendekwa on the purpose and implications proposed merger involving multinational retail company Pep, Big Daddy, and JD Financial
April 8, 2025
The Namibia Competition Commission (NaCC) will today host a stakeholder consultation on a proposed merger involving multinational retail company Pep, Big Daddy, and JD Financial.
The session provides an opportunity for stakeholders to make both written and verbal submissions on the potential merger. In line with competition laws, companies are required to notify the Commission of any planned mergers to ensure fair competition and prevent market dominance.
Joining us to unpack the purpose and implications of this consultation is Justin Muyendekwa, Senior Economist in the Commission’s Mergers and Acquisitions Division.
