Immanuel Nashinge on representing IPC in the National Assembly

On 9 April, Independent Patriots for Change leader Panduleni Itula named Immanuel Nashinge to the role, reversing the party’s earlier rejection of the position as unconstitutional, a move critics like PDM’s McHenry Venaani called flip-flopping.
We were joined by Nashinge, the newly appointed leader of the official opposition in parliament for the IPC.
Analysts warn of governance challenges, with NUDO’s Joseph Kauandenge predicting a power struggle between Nashinge and Itula. Nashinge, a former civil servant who defied a resignation directive.
