This week, US President Donald Trump paused higher tariffs for most countries for 90 days, capping them at 10%, but escalated tariffs on China to 125% after Beijing retaliated with an 84% levy on US imports. This follows market turmoil and a previous 21% tariff threat to Namibia, risking AGOA access.
