Drowning Victim’s Family Speaks to Desert FM

As the nation comes to terms with the recovery of the body of O’linn Nauyoma, the pupil who drowned at Lake Guinas near Tsumeb during a school trip, a parents’ association has called for greater vigilance from teachers during such excursions. Police Inspector General Joseph Shikongo confirmed the recovery of Nauyoma’s remains this week. The Etosha Secondary School learner drowned last September during a learners’ representative council (LRC) training trip. We spoke with the grieving family, including Oletu Nauyoma.
