Cabinet is reportedly pushing for the return of former Meatco CEO Mwilima Mushokabanji, despite the company’s well-documented financial troubles — including a massive N$206 million loss and a government bailout of N$200 million. Despite repeated struggles, including the company’s failure to pay farmers on time, key political figures are backing Mushokabanji’s return, overriding the concerns of the board and former finance minister Iipumbu Shiimi.
