Jennifer Mieze, the founder of Arise Foundation, says she wants to help individuals build stronger relationships with themselves and others.
The foundation is a counselling and coaching platform focusing on emotional and mental wellness.
Though she now lives in the United Kingdom, Mieze’s services are available online, allowing her to help clients from all over the world.
“Emotional wellness is one of the areas that is mostly forgotten . . . hence many people cannot deal with trauma and other difficult life experiences,” she says.
Through online platforms Mieze offers masterclasses on different topics every week. She also regularly runs training sessions.
Topics include alcohol abuse, avoiding self-destructive behaviours, grief and bereavement within families, managing fatigue and burnout, mental health and avoiding suicidal thoughts, and what to do after sexual abuse and trauma.
Mieze says: “While the scope of the presentations of the masterclasses may vary, the general underlying feature is promoting emotional wellness and emotional intelligence among members of society. The sessions normally lead to one-on-one consultations.”
Mieze is a qualified counsellor, pastor, mentor, and certified high-performance coach.
She also holds a bachelor’s degree in social work, and a diploma in women’s studies.
