Muharukua was never a threat to me – Venaani

Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) president McHenry Venaani says he is not to blame for former member of parliament (MP) Vipua Muharukua’s resignation.
He says the former MP was never a threat to his political hegemony in the opposition party.
Speaking to Desert Radio on Monday, Venaani said Muharukua resigned on own accord.
“Muharukua was never a threat to Venaani. He was a threat on social media and he did not have any control of any regions in the party. He believed he had control in the Kunene but things happened that I am not going to talk about. When the party held its process in Kunene, he failed to show the control that he claimed and he resigned,” Venaani said.
He further said Muharukua was never a threat to him in terms of controlling constituencies in the party.
He asserted that Muharukua overrated his control of the Kunene region and lacked strategy.
“Anyone who sees Muharukua, they must tell him that I love him. He is my brother and I have nurtured him in politics but I always told him that in politics you need strategy,” Venaani said
