Health minister elected vice chair of southern Africa ministerial committee

Health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula has been elected as the vice chair of the Southern Africa Regional Ministerial Steering Committee (ReSCO).
According to a statement released by the ministry on Friday, the appointment took place during the third ReSCO meeting in Zambia’s capital Lusaka.
The ReSCO meeting was held under the auspices of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
“This prestigious role is a well-deserved recognition of your unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership and tireless efforts,” noted the statement.
“Your commitment to advancing public health has always been an inspiration to us all. We are confident that with this responsibility you will continue to drive positive change and achieve significant milestones for the betterment of our country and the entire southern Africa region.”
