Love Palm Foundation leader Victoria Shikesho has urged the youth to take charge in the upcoming November national elections.

Shikesho told Desert Radio last week that young people need to step up and make decisions that will impact their futures.

She said the foundation will launch a Voters Youth Conference to educate and inspire them to participate in the upcoming November elections.

The conference is planned for 13 July at the Roman Catholic Hall in Windhoek.

“This year, instead of giving bread or blankets, we decided to host the Voters Youth Conference. It’s our way of restoring hope in the youth and highlighting the importance of voting,” she said.

She said the conference will also be accessible online to ensure widespread participation.

“We’re not here to tell you who to vote for. We’re here to make sure you understand the power of your vote,” she said.

“The conference promises to be a significant step towards empowering the youth and encouraging civic responsibility, ensuring that the future leaders of Namibia are well-informed and actively engaged in the democratic process,” she said.
