Shop robbed at Walvis Bay

The Beef Co Meat Market at Kuisebmond, Walvis Bay was robbed on Wednesday at about 08h45.
According to Erongo police spokesperson chief inspector Ileni Shapumba, the shop manager was busy counting money to prepare the daily banking receipts, when four suspects armed with pistols entered the shop and ordered him to lie down on the floor.
The security gate was unlocked for two customers to leave.
The suspects took money valued at N$8 500 and the victim’s backpack, which included a Rossi 38 special revolver, Samsung Galaxy A54 phone and the company vehicle key.
The suspects also took two cellphones from the employees before jumping into a Maroon Honda Fit vehicle with registration number N17024WB.
The money and other belongings stolen amounts to N$107 044.40
No recovery or arrest has been made yet.
However, the police have taken in two persons of interest for investigations.
