1 835 families facing malnutrition in Namibia

A total of 341 855 vulnerable households are living on food assistance under the government’s current comprehensive nationwide drought programme.
Of the total number, 33 105 are marginalised households, and 1 835 are affected by malnutrition.
This has resulted in deputy prime minister John Mutorwa summoning all heads of diplomatic missions and development partners to his office to appeal for assistance towards Namibia’s drought relief efforts.
