The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) says 25 000 Namibians countrywide registered to vote on Monday, which was the first day ot its registration drive.
Two regions’ reports are awaited before the ECN would release a comprehensive report on Tuesday afternoon.
Complaints, however, abound that the registration process is painfully slow.
Oshana ECN returning officer Amon Haimbangu on Monday said there were technical glitches and low turnout thus far.
Meanwhile, residents of the Samora Machel constituency at Greenwell Matongo and Havana at Katutura have also expressed their dissatisfaction with the sluggish process.
Registration kicked off on Monday and will run until 1 August.
