Truck crashes into house at Walvis Bay

A truck collided with a car and crashed into a house in the Narraville area of Walvis Bay on Sunday.
The truck was driven by a 39-year-old Zambian man.
According to Erongo police spokesperson chief inspector Ileni Shapumba, the lorry first collided head-on with a double-cab bakkie that was driven by a 54-year-old woman.
It then crashed into a bedroom of a house on Sam Nujoma Street, Narraville.
Shapumba said the occupants of the house were not harmed.
He added that the driver of the lorry refused to do a breath-alcohol test and was arrested on suspicion of driving the lorry under the influence of liquor or another substance.
The accident occured at about 18h20 on Saturday.
A police investigation is continuing.
