Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) leader McHenry Venaani has expressed condolences to the family of the late veteran journalist and Republikein news editor Ronelle Rademeyer.
Venaani described Rademeyer as a beacon of excellence in the Namibian media landscape.
“Her passing is not only a loss to her loved ones but also to the entire journalism fraternity.”
He described Rademeyer’s contributions to journalism as immense.
Rademeyer’s passion for journalism and her commitment to truth and integrity were evident in her work and the high standards she set in the industry, he added.
“As secretary general of the Namibia Editor’s Forum, Rademeyer’s leadership was characterised by integrity, wisdom and a deep-seated sense of responsibility towards the journalistic community.”
Her efforts in fostering excellence and ethical standards within the profession have left a lasting legacy, particularly as one of the organisers of the EFN Journalism Awards since 2018, he said.
“Rademeyer’s legacy will continue to live on, not only through her professional achievements but also in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her, he added.
