Between 2020 and 2025, over 1,500 households were electrified at a cost of N$55.6 million, with 1,956 more peri-urban homes connected in 2024/25 for N$75.5 million, as part of Namibia’s rural electrification drive. Deputy Prime Minister Natangwe Ithete reaffirmed this commitment at a retreat in Swakopmund on Monday, but challenges like inefficient project management persist.
