March 5, 2025
A man tragically lost his life this week after the vehicle he was driving was swept away by floodwaters in Hochland Park, Windhoek, on Monday evening.
The week began with heavy rains that have caused river flooding, creating a hazardous environment for drivers. The wet roads in Windhoek are also contributing to an increased risk of accidents.
In light of these dangers, superintendent Marcelline Murapo of the Windhoek City Police has issued a warning to the public about the risks of flash floods. She speaks to the Rush Hour Rewind to discuss this important issue.
