Grade 12 AS Level Qualification Rate Rises to 29.5%: Union Weigh In on Progress

At least 12,031 pupils have qualified for the Grade 12 National Senior Secondary Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level, representing 29.5% of the 40,757 learners who sat for the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) examinations. This marks an improvement from the 25.2% recorded in 2023. While the education arts and culture has hailed this result, is this the improvement unions were expecting?for a critical look at the national examination results, we were joined by unionist Mahongora Kavihuha, from the Teachers Union of Namibia.
