Guinas By-Election: Ballot Printing Completed Ahead of Schedule
The printing of ballot papers for the Guinas Constituency by-election has been successfully completed, with the final batch scheduled for transport to Tsumeb on Monday. This marks the culmination of a meticulous process overseen by the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), with representatives from the two contesting political parties—the SWAPO Party and the Landless People’s Movement (LPM)—actively monitoring the proceedings. The ballots were printed on 10 January by Solitaire Press, a local printing company. Solitaire Press was awarded the tender, valued at N$332,793.90, for the design, printing, and delivery of 4,600 ballots. For more on this were joined by the ECN spokesperson, De Wet Siluka.
