Young Voters Urged to Stay the Course Amid Long Queues as Namibia Heads to the Polls.

Namibia’s electorate will file to the polling stations to cast their votes in an election in which the Swapo party faces stiff competition from the opposition. A good number of those voters are the Generation X and a number of new voters. Voting itself can be a tedious exercise that will require patience and resilience as queues tend to be tight and long. How then can young people ensure that they wait until they are able to cast their votes even if it means waiting right into the night? To unpack this, we were joined by NID election observer Delphina Elvin from the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
