Khomas region recognises educational excellence

The Khomas Directorate of Education, Arts and Culture held an awards ceremony at Windhoek High School on Wednesday to celebrate outstanding achievements in education during the first semester of the 2024 academic year.

The ceremony featured distinguished guests, including Khomas Regional Council chairman John Moonde, who delivered the opening remarks.

Khomas director of education, arts and culture Paulus Nghikembua and Khomas governor Laura McLeod-Katjirua also addressed the audience, highlighting the importance of educational excellence in the region.

Windhoek East constituency councillor Brian Black provided the closing remarks, solidifying the ceremony’s focus on collaboration and ongoing dedication to educational progress in the Khomas region.

The awards are a platform for the Khomas Regional Council to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of educators across the region.

By celebrating top performers, the Directorate of Education, Arts and Culture aims to inspire continued excellence within the teaching profession and underscore the vital role teachers play in fostering student success.
